Clara P. Plecker NORTON - Clara P. Plecker Rose, 65, of Heritage Hall Nursing Home, Wise, and formerly of Bath County, died Thursday evening, May 10, 2007 at the Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Norton.
She was born on Dec. 5, 1941 in Bath County, the daughter of the late Floyd and Nita Swearengin Plecker. She was married to Willie J. Rose, whom she leaves behind.
Mrs. Rose was a homemaker. She was a member of Woodland Union Church in Millboro. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, Willie J. Rose of Wise, she is survived by two daughters, Brenda Filippone of Newport News, and Nancy Wooten of Surry; three sons, David Lowery of Warren, Ohio, Ricky Lowery of Surry, and Warren Lowery of Coeburn; a brother, Alan Plecker of Fredericksburg; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
A funeral service was conducted at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 13, at Woodland Union Church in Millboro with the Rev. David George officiating.
Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were sons-in-law and grandsons.
