Candidates line up for November MONTEREY and WARM SPRINGS - Candidates for the November general election had until Tuesday to file with the registrar in Bath and Highland. Candidates must meet two basic requirements: they must be qualified to vote for and hold the office sought and must be a resident of Virginia for one year preceding the election. The unofficial list for office follows - barring any additional candidates whose applications have not yet been processed.
