Editor, The Recorder, The letter you recently elected to publish referencing sending supervisor Jerry Rexrode to China was in poor taste. As a newspaper, you have a choice as to what is appropriate to publish. It appears that you either believe that slandering Mr. Rexrode will sell more newspapers or your editorial staff has a personal agenda with him. More ... Editor, The Recorder, I would like to take this opportunity to address the letter from Jimmy Carter in the July 12 issue of The Recorder in reference to supervisor Jerry Rexrode. I, too, was a teenager that year. It's no wonder that I fell in love with this wonderful family called M.H.S., and that this affection has endured into the present. More ... Also entitled to their opinions are the majority of Highlanders who believe that Mr. Rexrode, as supervisor, ignored their concerns about industrial wind power in the county. More ... Editor, The Recorder, Upon reading the account of the recent State Corporation Commission hearing (on industrial wind power), I was shocked to learn that Dr. Paul Kerlinger, a reportedly expert witness for Highland New Wind Development, testified that bald and golden eagles had no problem with wind turbine towers elsewhere in the United States.
