NELLIE H. THOMPSON
EDEN, N.C. - Nellie H. Thompson, 94, of Eden, died Monday, June 18, 2007 at Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden.
She was born July 2, 1912 in Stuart, Va., a daughter of Ben S. and Mary Lou Spencer Haynes.
She was an active member of First Church of the Brethren in Eden before becoming ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Oscar Thompson; four sisters; and three brothers.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James and Lois Thompson of Monterey, Va.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann and Maston Stone, of Greensboro, and Eleanor and Ernest Burleson of Concord; five grandand children; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, June 20 at 11 a.m., at First church of the Brethren in Eden by the Rev. Rick Edwards.
Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens at Reidsville.
