WARM SPRINGS - The Hot Springs Garden Club met Monday, June 25 at the Warm Springs Presbyterian Church. Hostesses for the evening were Glenna Myers and Virginia Nowlin. Mary Ellen Williams introduced program guest Gloria Lindsay, co-owner of Mountain Laurel Creations, who displayed several gift items in addition to silk and fresh floral arrangements. She demonstrated one design using pink and white daisies using a colorful coffee cup as a container, and shared useful tips for creating floral arrangements.

Designs for evening were "Roses to Remember" using a container that has a special memory or "What Have You" giving title and line used with choice of container. Helen Smith and Virginia Nowlin received blue ribbons for their designs.

May horticulture specimens were submitted - Joyce Alexander received three blue ribbons; Betty Alexander received one red ribbon; Evelyn Gwin received one blue, two red and one yellow; Helen smith received one red.

The July meeting will be the annual picnic held at the home of Sylvia Greer. A field trip to JMU's Arboretum is planned for August.
