Highland civic organizations gathering support to build a veterans' memorial on the Highland County courthouse lawn. Last week Dr. Richard Robinson (left) and his wife, Dottie, contributed the first private donation to the memorial. Richard Waybright (right) said he hopes the memorial will be in place by Veterans' Day, Nov. 11. No government money is being used to build the memorial, he stressed. Construction costs are being paid entirely through donations.
