Members of the Highland County Rescue Squad and the McDowell Volunteer Fire Department carry injured Pittman employee Jeff Pritt to the waiting Carilion Life Guard 10 for transfer to Roanoke Memorial Hospital Tuesday. Pritt was clearing brush from BARC power lines and is reported to have fallen 30 to 40 feet, landing on a pile of debris and fence. According to Highland Volunteer Rescue Sauad Captain Ronald Wimer, Pittman suffered multiple injuries on his right side.
