The Millboro Volunteer Fire Association will present awards in the following categories during its carnvial parade this year:
1. Best Appearing Municipal Fire Engine
2. Best Appearing Rural Fire Engine
3. Largest Fire Company participating in parade
4. Best Appearing Mini Pumper
5. Best Appearing Brush Truck
6. Best Appearing Tanker
7. Oldest Fire Truck
8. Fire Apparatus Traveling Longest Distance
9. Best Appearing Fire/ EMS Special Purpose Unit
10. Best Appearing Rescue Squad (organization)
11. Best Appearing Ambulance
12. Rescue Squad Traveling Longest Distance
13. Best Appearing Antique Vehicle (1st and 2nd)
14. Best Appearing Antique Farm Tractor
15. Best Appearing Classic Tractor
16. Best Appearing Horse and Rider
17. Best Appearing ATV/ Motorcycle
18. Best Appearing Classic Car made before 1985 (1st and 2nd)
19. Best Original 4X4 (1st and 2nd)
20. Best Overall 4X4 (1st and 2nd)
21. Best Appearing Vehicle made after 1985 (1stand 2nd)
22. Best Appearing Commercial Vehicle
23. Judge's Choice-Best in Parade
Cash awards will be presented for the following entries:
1. Best Appearing Comical, $30
2. Second Best Appearing Comical, $15
3. Best Appearing Float, $50
4. Second Best Appearing Float, $25
5. Best Appearing Majorettes or Dance Group, $150
6. Any Marching Band with 20 or more members, $200.
Parade line-up is Saturday, Aug. 4, at 4 p.m., at Millboro Elementary School.
