A team of auditors from the Virginia Department of Corrections visited the Bath County sheriff's office June 14 to inspect its lock-up facility. After reviewing records required to be kept, auditors toured the lock-up accompanied by Capt. Richard L. Armstrong. The auditors filed their report with the Department of Corrections, where the Board of Corrections examined it. The Bath County lock-up was certified with a 100 percent compliance rating. Capt. Armstrong, left, chief jailor and communications supervisor, and Corporal Teresa K. Shelton, 911 administrator, display the certification. (Photo courtesy Bath County Sheriff's Office)
