On July 28, the Sundance Express attended the Orange County Clogging Competition at Historic Montpelier in Orange. The group earned first place in line and traditional line, second place in exhibition and open line, and third place in small teams line. Graham Kershner and Gussie Young took first with their contemporary duet. Young earned secondplace honors in the freestyle solo category and third in the solo acapella category. Kershner took first in the freestyle solo category and second in the acapella solo category, as well as second place overall male, next to championship dancer Shamus Riley. Meyer Rexrode competed in the freestyle solo category for the first time as a member of Sundance and received first place. Sundance Express will be performing at the Highland County Fair on Thursday Aug. 30 at 8 p.m. in the Highland High School gymnasium.
