Motorcyclists bring business to county
Editor, The Recorder,

In the article "Is noise a nuisance?" last week, a reference was made toward the motorcycles in town. Where would the businesses of Highland be without the motorcyclist? Take a ride through town on any given summer Saturday and take a count. This past Saturday I counted 30 motorcycles throughout town, at Ernie's Market, Fastbreak, High's Restaurant, and Highland Inn.

Town council is constantly talking about bringing business and revenue to the town. Seems to me Motorcyclist do this. Where would these businesses be without the thousands of dollars a year that the motorcyclist bring here?

We all should show the motorcyclist a little more respect. They greatly contribute to our area and they respect the laws and requests of the community.

We moved here a year and a half ago and are grateful to be here. We count our blessings every day. Take a look at the news on any given day and you will realize what a wonderful place Highland is to live. Some people are not as lucky.
