Councilman clarifies his position on comments
Editor, The Recorder,
I would like to take this opportunity to clarify a few things in the article about the noise issue.
I did indeed talk with Sheriff Lightner about the problem the town is having, and passed along the town residents' request for increased enforcement. I did not and have not spoken to anyone at the Recorder about increased patrols, or anything at all, either at the town meeting on August 2 or since then.
My comment at the meeting about decking someone had nothing at all to do with noise, but was prompted by the anger of having someone cursed at in a vile manner. I do not apologize for what I said.
