Back to work: Busy as bees ...
The bees at the old McCutchan home in Doe Hill are back to work repairing their hive. Relocation efforts are ongoing but have yet to be successful. Two weeks ago, a separate queen bee was ordered off the Internet and introduced to the hive in a small box. After a few days she was transferred to a typical bee box set on the roof of the porch next to the hive. While some of the bees can be seen entering the box, the majority remain between the walls of the house making new honeycomb, lighter in color than the old.
