Varner family
STAUNTON - The descendants of Luther and Eva Lena Eckard Varner held a reunion on Sunday, Aug. 19 at Montgomerey Hall Park and Recreation building in Staunton.
The welcome and announcements were brought by Bob Warner. The devotion was led by Betty Varner. The prayer was given by Margaret Beverage and then lunch was served. Afterward, family pictures were taken and door prizes were awarded.
The winners of the prizes were: Garrett Helmick, Rachael Herring, Cody Hartman, Jason Varner, Kevin Simmons, John Varner and Dale Varner.
October birthdays recognized were Cody Hartman and Melanie Altizer. November birthdays were: Lena Miller, Bob Varner, Donna Lotts, Jamie Keller, Rachael Herring and Ema Wilson. December birthdays were Kevin Simmons, Juanita Keller, Thelma Chestnut and Berlin Beverage.

Wilfong family
FRONT ROYAL - Nestled in among the mountains of Front Royal, along the beautiful Skyline Drive, Kevin, Austin and Melissa Wilfong Scott invited family and friends of the late Jonas Wesley Howard and Martha Jane Simmons Wilfong to their home for a Wilfong reunion, the first in many years.
Family and friends gathered at noon on Saturday. Almost on top of the Skyline Caverns, guests enjoyed good food as they visited with each other, sharing memories and meeting new relatives and friends. The weather was perfect as the youngsters enjoyed playing games, ball, riding four wheelers and meeting Elvis and Willie, two pet goats.

MOUNTAIN GROVE - The 24th annual Woodzell family reunion was held Sunday, Aug. 12 at the Bath County Pumped Storage Station Recreation Area in Mountain Grove.
