First Alpaca farm day set in Millboro
MILLBORO - Don't miss out on the first National Alpaca Farm Day Saturday, Sept. 29. This is a brand new, nationally-designated holiday, and many farms throughout the United States are participating, including Diamond Triple C Ranch in Millboro. The ranch will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on that day and visitors are welcome.
Meet the alpacas - some young males and females on the 2007 Show Team who will have just arrived at the ranch, as well as the regulars.
Echo Valley Fruit & Fiber, the farm store, will be reopening with limited hours. There are new sweaters, scarves, mittens, and an assortment of alpaca products.
The newly-published alpaca fantasy novel "Cavern of Babel" will be available also. Have your picture taken with the main characters, Buttersby (the huacaya heroine) and Meander (her suri sidekick). The book is aimed at middle grade readers ages 9-12. Refreshments will be served.
