Dog Obedience Classes Offered
Master trainer Susan Tucker gets down to the dogs' level Saturday at the first of a series of obedience classes offered by the Bath Animal Welfare Foundation. According to the foundation, many dogs are abandoned between 10 and 12 months of age because their owners cannot control the dog that was once a cute puppy. The classes strive to teach dog owners how to control and train their own pet using praise and treats. Twenty dogs showed up with owners last week and a few more spaces are available for late arrivals. A second set of classes will be offered in the future.
