Woodrow Wilson Ruritan District Dictionary Project

Pictured (l-r) Vaughn Ashby, Woodrow Wilson Ruritan District dictionary project chairman and Pioneer; Betty Jo Clemmer, Woodrow Wilson Ruritan District Governor; and Frankie Hicklin, Ruritan Zone IV Governor prepare to give each third grade student at Valley Elementary School a dictionary. On Monday, Sept. 10, dictionaries were delivered to Millboro Elementary School, Valley Elementary School, and Highland Elementary School. The Woodrow Wilson District Ruritan Clubs and Verizon Pioneers partner to give every third grader in Augusta, Bath, Highland, and Nelson counties a copy of the dictionary. This community service project touches more lives than any other project done by the Ruritans and is one of many examples of community service performed by area Ruritan clubs.
