Be aware of voting deadlines
WARM SPRINGS - The Constitution of Virginia requires that you be registered in the precinct in which you live in order to be qualified to vote.
In order to be eligible to vote in the General Election to be held on Tuesday, Nov. 6, you must register no later that 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9.
The voter registration office for Bath County located at Bath County Courthouse, room 103, Warm Springs, is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, Jan. 1 through July 31, and Monday through Friday, Aug. 1 through Dec. 31 from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The office will also be open on Saturday, Oct. 27 and Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the convenience of registered voters who need to vote by an absentee ballot for this election date.
Saturday, Nov. 2 is the last day for this election on which an absentee ballot may be voted in person by qualified applicants.
All requests for reasonable accommodations due to a disability should be made to the registrar with at least a 48-hour notice.
