Alleghany Highlands free clinic moving

CLIFTON FORGE - The Alleghany Highlands Free Clinic is moving. Established in 1998, the Free Clinic has been located at various locations within Alleghany Regional Hospital.

As of Oct. 1, the free clinic will be located beside the Low Moor Post Office at 103 Old Church Street in Low Moor. The new phone number is (540)9 65-6673. The same level of service will be maintained for Free Clinic patients.

This opportunity will provide more space for the free clinic. The clinic has a twoyear lease on the property, which is owned by Louise Belmont. It is hoped this will become a permanent location.

The free clinic appreciates the contribution of Alleghany Regional Hospital in offering clinic space for the first nine years of service. Since opening in 1998, the clinic has served over 2,500 residents of the Allegheny Highlands offering billable services of more than $8,200,000.

While not currently on the RADAR bus route, there are efforts under way to address expansion of services.

There will be no change in services for Bath County patients. Bath County Family Practice, Dr. James Deboe and Living Springs Clinic will continue to see patients living in Bath County.

Dr. Aubrey Hall, MD, president of the board of directors, said, "The free clinic is delighted to be moving into the space in Low Moor. It will be convenient for our patients and close to Alleghany Regional Hospital. This move will be a great benefit to our patients."
