Incumbent supervisors aren't defending county Editor's note: The following letter was sent to Highland County Supervisor Robin Sullenberger and shared with The Recorder this week. Dear Robin,
I just finished reading the article "County prevails in wind case" in the Sept. 20 Recorder. I must say I was shocked to read your words, "I'm glad it's been resolved and the way I look at it, it's my first responsibility to defend the county."
You haven't defended the county; none of you elected officials have.
This county is not a governing body, nor a few hired or elected people who don't listen to those who elect them, and who bring in the big money interests to run amuck here. The county is the farms and the people, the mountains and the land. You three supervisors have sold it for a lie.
None of the three of you will have my vote come November. It makes me sad to write this, to feel this. But I do.
I would like to see three new supervisors. I hope to see three who love this community and who believe in it.
