Voters must decide on Bath sheriff candidate
Editor, The Recorder,

It was with great interest that I ran across an ad placed in your newspaper by Kirby Buzzard asking for votes for sheriff.

Something had slipped my mind but quickly came back upon reading the ad. This is neither positive nor negative, but you as voters can decide.

Several years ago I owned a small two-bedroom home in Mountain Grove. This house had a small kitchen, living room, hallway, one bath, dining room and closet space, as well as the two bedrooms.

Mr. Buzzard and his brother were contacted to paint the house on the inside. I did not ask for an estimate or contract, and I did not live in the area. Upon completion of the job, I was handed a bill for 80 hours. I paid the bill for the full amount. This is not to say anything against the candidate. You decide.

Earl M Cutlip,

Strasburg, Va.
