Warm Springs church welcomes interim pastor

WARM SPRINGS - The Warm Springs Presbyterian Church announces the Rev. Betty Dax as interim pastor beginning Oct. 1.

Dax is a graduate of Maryville College in Maryville, Tenn., and Union Theological Seminary in Richmond.

Her first call was as pastor of Fairfield Presbyterian Church in Rockbridge County. For the Shenandoah Presbytery, she served as evangelism coordinator. Upon leaving the church in Fairfield, Dax served churches in New York and New Jersey.

Dax returned to the Shenandoah Valley to reside in Lexington with husband, David, who is the new executive director of the United Way of Lexington and Rockbridge County.

Warm Springs Presbyterian Church has Sunday morning worship services at 11 a.m., with a nursery provided. The community is invited to join for worship services.
