¦ Oct. 1 - Responded to an Ashwood residence for a report of a stolen dirt bike. Investigation is on going.
¦ Deputies of the Bath County Sheriff's Office, during the period of Sept. 1 through Sept. 30, traveled 11,156 miles, while on patrol and responding to emergency calls.
The sheriff's office received 471 calls, including fire and rescue calls. Deputies were required to respond to 157 of those calls. Deputies performed two criminal investigations. Deputies served 117 civil papers, including subpoenas, summonses, etc: Deputies made seven criminal arrests. Those offenses are: grand larceny; driving while intoxicated; possession of drugs with intent to distribute, manufacture marijuana; distribute methamphetamine.
In addition to the above, deputies performed: Three funeral escorts, provided security for three high school function, provided court security and appeared in court nine days. Transported inmates for 14 various purposes: one transport to U.Va. from Bath County, eight transport to Alleghany jail from Bath County, four transports to Bath County courts from Alleghany jail, and one transport to Allehany jail from Middle River Regional jail.
