Sunny skies graced the Hands & Harvest Festival Bo Aldredge stands next to his handmade furniture at The Highland Center Farmers Market pavilion. Aldredge says a group of regional woodworkers is forming in Highland County. The guild's mission is "to improve the knowledge and skills of associate wood workers, whether hobbyist or professional, and to promote the sale of their products through cooperative marketing activities." The guild would fulfill its mission through information sharing between members and through professional speakers, possible sharing of specialty tools and cooperative marketing through organized promotion and periodic exhibits. For more information, call Bo Aldredge, (540) 468-2917; David Blanchard, (540) 468-3900; or Gary Johnson, (540) 389- 5791. (Recorder photos by James Jacenich)
