¦ Jean Smith said the McDowell Presbyterian Women was the first group to arrive at the Hayfields Farm last Tuesday to provide food and drink to search workers. The group was not mentioned in last week's article on the Pat Ross McGraw search. "Our concern was that people down there don't have food," said Smith. The group arrived at 10 a.m. "We loaded up a car with all kinds of food, sandwich fixings, water, everything," Smith added. The McDowell Volunteer Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary arrived just as the Presbyterian women were leaving, she said.
¦ The photo of Pat Ross-McGraw in last week's issue was incorrectly cited. The photographer was Andrew Shurtleff of Charlottesville.
¦ Supervisor Percy "Buzz" Nowlin is running for a board seat in the Millboro District of Bath County, not Cedar Creek, as incorrectly noted in a headline last week.
