The Alleghany Highlands Free Clinic held a ribbon cutting and open house at its new location, 103 Old Church Street in Low Moor, last Thursday. The mission of the free clinic is to provide medical, dental and pharmaceutical care for the Allegheny Highlands' medically indigent using volunteer professional staff. The clinic serves residents of Bath and Alleghany counties and tries "to help those who are making a sincere effort to help themselves," according to board president Jean Howell. Pictured are (l-r): Steve Minter, board member; Teresa Minter; Tim Tobin, CEO Alleghany Regional Hospital; Nellie Freil, member Clifton Forge Town Council; Catherine Quinn, former patient and board member; sitting in office is Beulah Roblete, M.D., gynecologist who provides services regularly to the clinic.
