Register for 2008 gardener class

LEXINGTON - The Rockbridge Area Master Gardeners Association is accepting applications for the class of 2008.

The 50 hours of classroom instruction by area experts will take place Jan. 15 through March 27 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. Classes are held at the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service office, 150 S. Main Street, Lexington.

Membership requires continuing volunteer participation in sanctioned projects, continuing education and continuing fun with other gardeners.

Tuition includes the "Master Gardener Handbook," "A Guide to Gardening in Virginia" and first-year membership dues.
