Christmas tradition comes alive at The Homestead
HOT SPRINGS - The Homestead Resort continued a classic holiday tradition with the formal lighting on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 21 at 4 p.m.
This year, a 21-foot Fraser fir takes center stage in The Homestead's spectacular holiday celebration. The tree comes from West Jefferson, N.C., and will shine with the power of over 1,250 lights and more than 1,000 ornaments. The great hall tree begins The Homestead's annual holiday feast for the senses.
The resort will boast 15 live Christmas trees inside The Homestead and an additional 33 live Christmas trees at the Owner's Club cottages. The trees are complemented with 99 holiday wreaths with bright red bows and 1,204 poinsettias, 20 beautiful poinsettia standards (in tree form), 82,000 lights, 3,000 feet of evergreen garlands and 75 brightly glowing trees outside - all combining to bring the season and its traditions to life like few other places in America.
And holiday traditions do not come much sweeter than The Homestead's extraordinary Gingerbread Village. This annual masterpiece from Executive Pastry Chef Michel Finel and his expert team is a magical favorite for children of all ages.
