Highland County Recreation Commission
¦ Maggie Cavell, Don Farrell and Sherry Sullenberger agreed to serve three more years on the recreation commission. Kitty Lambert agreed to fill the seat vacated by Kirk Bilingsley, who is resigning in order to free up more time for his new assignment to the school board. Recreation commission by-laws permit seven to 12 members. The commission has nine members. Three members come up for rotation every year. ¦ The commission elected officers for 2008. Sherry Sullenberger continues as chair, Don Farrell was elected to vice chair, Summer Cohen is secretary and Maggie Cavell continues as treasurer. ¦ The next meeting of the recreation commission is 7:30 p.m. Jan. 28 at the Highland High School library.
