Her long-distance romance with local businessman Kenny Herold of H&H Cash Store has turned out to be a good thing in more ways than one. Huertas won $50,000 New Year's Eve from the Virginia Lottery with a ticket purchased at H&H. Huertas said she cried after learning of her win. "I'm going to use the money wisely," said Huertas. Some went into her bank account, some to her father, children and grandchildren, and some she shared with Herold. The money, which amounts to $35,000 after taxes, doesn't mean she can quit her day job anytime soon. "Just because I won doesn't mean I need a vacation," she said. "I need to work. I enjoy working."
