St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Hot Springs, offers services for Holy Eucharist Rite I at 11 a.m. every first, second and fourth Sunday. Morning prayer service every third Sunday at 11 a.m.; Holy Eucharist Rite II service held every fifth Sunday at 11 a.m. Adult education classes are at 10 a.m., where the Rev. Dr. R. David Cox leads the study of "The First Letter of Paul to the Corinthians."

Sunday, Aug. 24 Hamilton Chapel Advent Christian Church homecoming. Worship service at 11 a.m. with guest speaker Kenneth Carroll. Covered dish lunch at noon, followed by special music and singing by Blessed Hope. Everyone welcome.

Virginia Chapel United Methodist Church in Mitchelltown, homecoming at 10:15 a.m. The Rev. Walter B. Failes is the guest speaker. Special music by The Woodzell Family and the church choir. A covered dish lunch will be served immediately following the service.

St. Luke's Episcopal Church hosts guest speaker, The Rev. Chris Jones, parish vicar and officer for governmental relations in the Diocese of Liverpool, part of the established Church of England at 11 a.m. The Rev. David Cox will participate.

Sunday, Aug. 31 McDowell Presbyterian Church hosts the Fifth Sunday service for area churches at 11:15 a.m. with a pot luck luncheon to follow. The Guatemala Mission Team of the Methodist Churches will lead the service. There will be no separate service at Head Waters.

Monterey United Methodist Church homecoming. Worship service is at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Derek Tomek. Special music and a covered dish luncheon will follow the worship service. Everyone welcome.
