LOWER CASCADES — The Bath County Chargers invited group A favorite Giles County to a head to head match and struggled on their home course to lose by 23 strokes, 184 to 161, on a beautiful autumn afternoon.

"Thought we would be a little more competitive on our home course," said Bath coach Terry Bradley.

All four Giles scores were ahead of top Charger Drew Newmarker's 44. Alex Fry and Walker Ryder tied for second on the Bath card at 46 strokes over the nine-hole round. Ryan Schneider's 48 rounded out the scoring.

"Pleased with Ryan Schneider's improvement today," Bradley said. "Giles is a perennial Region C Power, good to play tough competition ... Hopefully, we can get all five guys playing well on Monday."
