| MITCHELLTOWN - Jeff and Christie Ford, owners of Valley Supermarket in Mitchelltown, have announced the appointment of Jeff Woodzell as store operations manager.
Woodzell is familiar to most residents as he was born and reared in Bath County. He was formerly the golf professional for the old course at The Homestead and most recently has been youth coordinator for the Bath County Parks and Recreation department.
As store manager, Woodzell will be responsible for the day to day operations of the store while leading the team of more than 20 employees.
"Christie and I are delighted to have Jeff on our team and look forward to having him grow the business as we expand and refine our offerings," said co-owner Jeff Ford.
Woodzell begins work this week, spending a couple of months with longtime manager, Wayne Hiner, who will retire March 1 after 30 years.
"Wayne has done the county a great service over the years and has been a tremendous help to Jeff and I as we got started in the grocery business last year," said Christie Ford.
Valley Supermarket will celebrate 80 years of service to Bath County during 2008.
