McDowell Christmas decoration winners announced
McDOWELL - The Stonewall Ruritan Club offered the communities of McDowell, Doe Hill and Head Waters a decoration contest during this Christmas season. Because the event was so well received, the Ruritans would like to make this an annual event.
Judges WERENona Allen, Zelda Butterworth, Adaline Hodge and Pat Hoover.
Winners were:
McDowell - first place, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Armstrong; second place, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Vandevander; third place, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Botkin.
Doe Hill - first place, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Burns; second place, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Hull; third place, Mr. and Mrs. Gallan Malcolm.
Head Waters - first place, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Varner; second place, Mr. and Mrs. Bubby Stiltner; third place, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Miller.
Honorable mention - Mr. and Mrs. Bill Huffman; grand prize - Mr. and Mrs. Jim Armstrong.
