Two injured in accidents

WARM SPRINGS - OnT uesday, Jan. 8, Virginia State Police troopers Bostic and Hipps responded to an accident on Crooked Spur Road, Route 635, which is 20 feet north of Route 636 outside of Millboro.

According to Hicks, Donnica Doubet, 49, of Millboro, was on her way home when her 2002 Honda Launcher, which was traveling north on Route 635, approached a curve too fast and lost control of her vehicle, which overturned twice before landing upside down.

Doubet was injured and taken to the Bath Community Hospital and was later transferred to University of Virginia Hospital in serious condition.

Doubet was charged with reckless driving and her vehicle was deemed to be totaled.

Virginia State Trooper Brendel responded to an accident Monday, Jan. 14 on Route 39 on a stretch of road known as Straight Spur.

William Hiner of Staunton was traveling west on Route 39 when his 2001 Toyota Camry ran off the road on the right side and struck an embankment. He was taken to Bath Community Hospital complaining of pain.

Hiner was charged with reckless driving and his vehicle was estimated to have $8,500 in damages.
