Photos from the Snow
 | | From the intersection of U.S. 220 and Park Lane, the community on Little Mountain, known as French's Hill, is visible through the bare trees and enhanced with snowfall. In the foreground, Hot Springs Presbyterian Church's spire rises above the landscape and seems to be on level with Malvern Hall to the right. (Recorder photo by Cynthia B. Coleman) |

 | | Romp in snow - Millboro resident Dean Heffler takes time out from shoveling snow from his wife Essie' car last weekend to play with their puppy, a small vivacious Shih Tzu named Leon (but better known as "Puppy") during the snowstorm. (Recorder photo by Gina Hamilton) |

 | | Last Thursday's snowstorm slowed things down in Bath and Highland County, but the snow plows were out before the storm ended, such as this truck at Ernie's Market in Monterey, keeping local commerce going despite the weather. Nonetheless, the storm hit the Shenandoah Valley hard and made delivery of The Recorder (printed in Woodstock) ill-advised. The paper arrived on Friday, much to the relief of The Recorder's loyal fans and staff. (Recorder photo by James Jacenich) |
