| WARM SPRINGS - Bath County Library continues to be the hub of the community. Many people use the library every day for different reasons. Some just come to check out the latest bestseller or to read the newspapers. But lately, the library's public access computers are the big draw. Lots of folks use the library on a daily basis to keep in touch with family, friends or business while visiting from out of town. Several patrons use the computers for word processing (for many organizations). With the addition of our wireless access, many students and other adults have become regular customers. Children and adults alike have found that the library provides educational games, databases for research and a way of reaching out to family and friends - without spending a nickel.
The library now subscribes to the Learning Express Library Database. This is a wonderful database which allows students and adults to prepare for exams such as the ACT, SAT, GED, firefighter, police officer, paramedic, EMT-B, U.S. Citizenship and postal worker, to name a few. Learning Express Library offers courses in math, reading and writing with instant scoring. The database has more than 300 online practice tests.
