Highland FFA holds first annual game show

More than 200 people attended, more than 100 trophies were entered. Mike Ralston, trophy held by son Eric; and Mike Hibert took home grand prizes and bragging rights. Far right is Relay for Life team leader James Colaw, organizer of the event.
The event raised $1,200 for the American Cancer Society. Game animals were a major attraction at the show.
Vendors, some pictured here, included the Department of Environmental Quality, U.S. Forest Service, Pullins Archery, Department of Forestry, Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, Rockingham Coop. Highland Branch, Little Switzerland Strutters, Maple Tree Outdoors, School Rewards Program and the National Wild Turkey Federation.
