Millboro Happenings By Gina Hamilton
¦ A number of residents enjoyed a "travel night" at the Goshen public library Jan. 30, with slides and a video of a hiking adventure along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona, as they traveled down to the Colorado River and back up. Area residents who made the arduous trek last November and brought back the stunning scenes were Heather Newmarker of Millboro, and John Hinton and Debi Ratliff, both of Goshen. They showed views along the seven-mile trail down and 10 miles on the return on a different trail. The group stayed overnight at the Phantom Ranch, which offers six bunkhouses, but they said reservations had to be made 13 months in advance.
