There was a 13.5 percent Republican voter turnout and a 12.6 percent Democratic voter turnout. In Bath County the top two Republican candidates were McCain, with 42 percent of the vote, and Huckabee, with 49.8 percent of the vote. The top two Democratic candidates were Obama, with 63.7 percent of the vote, and Clinton, with 35.5 percent of the vote. There was a 9 percent Republican voter turnout, and a 13.7 percent Democratic voter turnout. There was an overall 21 percent voter turnout in the state.
