Rockbridge Regional Library announces new director
LEXINGTON - The board of trustees of the Rockbridge Regional Library announces the selection of Alan Bobowski to become new library director upon the retirement of Linda Krantz this June.
The board is confident Bobowski will enable the library to continue to serve the community with vision and substance as it has over the past 33 years under Krantz's direction.
Bobowski is currently library director of the Passaic Public Library inNew Jersey; prior to that he was library director of the Eastern Monroe Public Library in Pennsylvania. He brings to the position years of accomplishment and an enthusiasm for libraries.
"Even after more than 30 years, I feel that joining the library profession was one of the best decisions I ever made," Bobowski said.
He begins his new duties May 27.
