Clarification
The Recorder has learned that Clark Earnhart, Charger football star in 1981 - 82, also had his jersey retired. He was the second Charger to rush for over 1,000 yrds, besting the record held since 1975 by Derek Watkins for most yardage in a season. Earnhart finished with 1,157 yards on the season and was named first-team district all-star on offense and defense.
