March is Red Cross month
COVINGTON - The Jackson River Chapter of the Red Cross encourages you to get "Red Cross Ready" with three easy steps. They are:
¦ Prepare a disaster supply kit.
¦ Make a family communications plan and practice it.
¦ Be informed and follow the advise of local officials.
The Jackson River Chapter supports the counties of Alleghany, Bath and Highland. The chapter asks how the citizens of these counties can support their local chapter. Support or help can take several forms:
• Give a gift of time in service to chapter activities.
• Learning how to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies, and learn to train others.
• Give the lifesaving gift of blood.
• Give financially to insure Red Cross needs can be met.
