Four arrested on drug charges in Bath

| HOT SPRINGS - Deputies from the Bath County Sheriff's Department, along with members of the Alleghany Highlands Drug Task Force, arrested four people last week on drug related charges.
Brandon Lee Tolbert of Covington was arrested at a residence on Route 615 outside of Hot Springs on two felony warrants. Tolbert is charged with one Class 6 felony of selling or distributing a schedule IV controlled drug and one class 5 felony of selling or distributing a schedule III, non-steroid controlled drug.
Sheriff Larry Norfleet,along with deputies Robert Plecker, Dean Sexton and Major Richard Chestnut, made the arrest with assistance from the task force after following up on a domestic-related call, Norfleetsaid on Monday. The charges against Tolbert relate to prescription drugs, he said.

| Tolbert was arrested on Saturday, April 5. He turned 29 years old on Wednesday, April 2.
The task force arrested Jonathan Eric Lowry last Thursday following the ex- ecution of a search warrant at 2536 Main Street, Hot Springs. Lowry was charged with a class 5 felony of possession of between one-half and fivepounds of marijuana with intention to distribute. He was booked in Alleghany County.
Norfleetsaid the Lowry arrest was a "result of an ongoing investigation by the task force."The Alleghany County tactical squad along with a canine unit assisted in the search and arrest. Norfleetnoted any of the jurisdictions in the task force can call upon the resources of the other members for assistance.
Two additional misdemeanor drug arrests were made incidental to the Lowry search and arrest. Gae Lee Lim and Jeffery Thomas Wooten, Jr. were each charge with first offense possession of marijuana. Both men live in Hot Springs.
The Alleghany Highlands Drug Task Force is made up of members from the Alleghany, Bath and Highland county sheriff's departments along with the Covington and Clifton Forge police departments and the Virginia State Police.
