 | | Starr Bolar United Methodist Church sponsored a benefit hymn sing on Sunday, April 20. More than 50 members from the Bolar community enjoyed music provided by the Donnie Liptrap family, Mountain Top Gospel, and Jed Thomas. Tammy Hicklin presented the love offering donation that was collected to the Bolar Volunteer Fire Department. This kicked off BVFD's fund-raising activities. With its tanker currently out of service, its goal is to raise enough money for a firetruck. Any donations are welcomed at BVFD c/o Kim Rexrode 21271 Sam Snead Highway Warm Springs, Va. 24484.
