Shifflett,Sampson crowned 2008 Miss Bath

The Miss Bath County top fivefinalists and winner (-r) are: Haley Lucille Woodzell, first runner-up; Kaitlyn Leigh Miller; Angela Elizabeth Ryder, second runner-up; Melissa Alexandra Sampson, Miss Bath County; Hannah Marie Shifflett.
For a third year the Bath Highland Lioness Lions Club sponsored the pageant. This year's theme was "Breaking with Tradition," as the pageant began with a group dance number. The Lionesses stressed to the contestants the pageant was not only about poise and beauty, but community service, as funds raised help with the club's sight and hearing programs. During the raffle drawing, Debbie Chaplin and Dot Pozun explain the club's programs. Pageant winners, Whitney Shifflett(l), holds her trophy and bouquet of roses after she was crowned Junior Miss Bath County. Melissa Sampson (r), Miss Bath County (r) received a $300 scholarship for any college of her choice.
