Robert 'Logan' Stuber

 
MONTEREY - Robert "Logan" Stuber, 14, of Monterey, died Friday, May 2, 2008 as a result of an automobile accident. He was born June 3, 1993 in Staunton.

He was a student at Highland High School and a member of the school band, the track team and he also played soccer. He enjoyed Logos. He loved camping, crabbing and fishing with his father on the Eastern shore.

Logan loved his dog, "Pinky."

He is survived by his mother, Tina M. Stuber of Monterey; his father, Robert R. and wife, Teresa Stuber of Hebron, Md.; fivebrothers, William Canter Lambert Jr. of Orlando, Fla., Michael "Draven" Nash Duncan of the home, Brandon, Shawn and Matthew Martin, all of Hebron, Md.; two sisters, Rachel and Jojo Martin, both of Hebron, Md.; maternal grandmother, Meredith A. Colaw of Hot Springs; paternal grandparents, Bob and Kris Stuber of Salisbury, Md.; maternal great-grandmother, Elsie Hull of Doe Hill; aunts, Kay Spangler, Paula Colaw and Kim Moyers; uncles, Richard Stuber, Perry Moyers and Johnny Gwin; and special friends, James Hass and Michael Todd Duncan, both of Monterey.

He was preceded in death by an aunt, Stacy Jane Stuber and his grandfather, John Clifton Gwin.

A funeral service was conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, at Word of Faith Church by the Rev. Mark Davis and the Rev. Chris Scott. Burial was at Monterey Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Brandon, Shawn and Matthew Martin, Roger Imhoff, Jimmy Carter, Josh, Shaun and Jonathon Gwin.

Honorary pallbearers were his eighth-grade classmates and Highland High School students.

Memorial contributions may be made to Highland High School Band, P.O. Box 430, Monterey, Va., Highland County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 268, Monterey, Va., Highland Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 267, Monterey, Va., or a Memorial Fund for Logan as been established at Highland Inn, c/o Tina Stuber, P.O. Box 40, Monterey, Va. 24465.
