Red Cross looking for volunteer instructors

COVINGTON - The Jackson River Chapter, American Red Cross is in need of volunteer instructors for their Health and Safety Programs. We're looking for smart, motivated people who truly want to make a difference.

An American Red Cross instructor is a member of a select group of trained and authorized individuals, who reflect the standards and ideals of the Red Cross, America's most trusted health and safety training provider.

Each year, the Red Cross teaches lifesaving skills to nearly 12-million people. Locally last year, the Jackson River Chapter trained nearly 2,000 in CPR/AED, first aid, lifeguarding, and other lifesaving courses. Reaching this many is only possible through the help of people who care about the safety and lives of others, and are willing to devote a little bit of their time.

If you are currently in a health care or teaching/training role, or are enthusiastic about helping people, contact the Jackson River Chapter. We will help you build and refine all the skills you need to become a Red Cross volunteer instructor.

For more information contact Jacksonriverh&s@rapidcable.com or call (540) 962-6456.
