Kayaking 101 set at Douthat State Park
MILLBORO - Riders Up! Outfitters in Clifton Forge has teamed up with Douthat State Park to provide an interpretive program on kayaking every Wednesday from June 18-Aug. 27 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weather permitting.
Guests will enjoy recreational kayaking instruction on Douthat Lake during the mornings and head to Douthat Lakeview Restaurant for lunch. After lunch try your hand by paddling the James River with an experienced guide.
The program fee includes lunch and equipment. Credit card applications are required by calling (540) 862-7999. Participants must be at least eight years old and participants need to meet at the Douthat State Park boat dock.
