Highland summer theater brings out local stars
 | | Top: Soloist Margaret Jewett displayed her beautiful vocal ability singing "Conjunction Junction," one of 11 songs performed Friday and Saturday night by the 50 children of the Highland County Arts Council summer camp. Jewett lives in Richmond but came to Highland to stay with family friends. |
 | | Bottom:The house was packed two nights in a row for the summer drama camp performance of Schoolhouse Rock, Live! Jr., book by Scott Ferguson, Kyle Hall and George Keating; music and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, Bob Dorough, Dave Frishburg, Kathy Mandry, George Newall, and Tom Yohe. At the piano are (l-r) music staff Robin Smith and Kelly Muse. |
 | | The acting abilities of (l-r) of Ashley Smith, Gabe Luciano and Janna Folks came out last weekend in a skit about a tooth fairy apprentice (Luciano) who doesn't quite measure up to the task. One bit of advice from the more experienced tooth fairy (Folks) - make sure before you fly through a window that it is open. (Recorder photos by James Jacenich) |
